Video Contest

We’ve heard from so many supporters and friends– often people who’ve already volunteered and donated, asking “How else can I support the campaign?”

Our new “Why Marriage Matters” video contest is the perfect opportunity for creative and fun-minded supporters to engage family and friends and help change hearts and minds by answering one simple question: “Why marriage matters [to you]” – in 30 seconds or less.

Your 30–second video could feature your own story. It could also be you and your best friend or partner. It could feature your parents, children, your neighborhood, even your sports team!

The contest begins on July 19th. We will solicit these 30-second creations over the next 45 days, and on August 16th, we’ll make the tough call and select the top 3 finalists.

Everyone will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite finalist from August 17th – August 20th.

We will announce the contest winner on August 21, 2012.

Video contest grand prize includes:

• (2) 3-day passes to Bumbershoot 2012

• A grab bag of new releases and merchandise from Sub–Pop records, the  legendary home of Nirvana, Soundgarden, Macklemore and Shabazz Palaces

• Internet fame (sort of)

• The everlasting gratitude of all the lives and hearts you touch with your creation
